Today we will discuss some German vocabulary, connected to breathing (Atmen). Breathing tells us a lot about how we feel. When you make love you breathe differently, when you sleep your breathing is different. The way we breathe changes constantly. Try to observe (beobachten) your breath (der Atem). We take it for granted, so for a change try to observer what is is going on with your breath ( Beobachten Sie, was mit Ihrem Atem geschieht ) Try to change your breath ( Ihren Atem zu verändern). For example you can deepen your breath (Ihren Atem vertiefen)
German language is like music. Any language is like music. Your native language is music too. Communicating in German is not just about your vocabulary, cool phrases or proper grammar. It is about the tone ( der Tonefall ). The tone of your language is different when you are confused (verwirrt ) , excited, nervous or in love.
Apart from the tone of your voice, another aspect is the body language ( Körpersprache )
Topics for discussion for our German lessons.
1. When you speak with your friends from work, what kind of tones do you hear?
2. Tell me something about the body language ( Körpersprache ) in your culture.
My dream job in Germany
My vocation ( die Berufung ) is to teach German via Skype. I love my job, I love speaking German with my students and listen to their stories. It is my passion ( Leidenschaft ). When I think about my calling and vocation ( über Ihre Berufung nachdenken ) I definitely come to the conclusion that I am happy with my job.
Of course it is not so easy to become fluent in German. If you want to speak German you need to have a lot of determination ( die Bestimmung ).
